Based on the City of Safety Harbor’s
consensus and concerns for the student pedestrians safety, I would like
to request the following:

Request the School Administration to notify any student
who lives north of Marshall St. and within the 2-mile walk route, that
the school crossing guard posted on Marshall @ 1st Ave will
staff that post until Friday 9/3/10. Effective Tuesday 9/7/10 there
will NOT be a crossing guard posted at this location.

Request that the School Administration advise parents that
a second school crossing guard will staff 5th Ave @ 5th
St. with the other guard staffing 5th Ave @ the school
driveway, effective Tuesday 9/7/10.
·
Request better cooperation from the parents who walk their
children through these school crossing locations. Parents as well
as students are asked to comply with all pedestrian and bicycle safety
rules.
·
Request all parents who use the parent drop off loop to be
aware of the new crossing locations and not to block the crosswalks at
any of the school crossing locations.
