Safety Harbor Elementary, PTA Newsletter, April 28, 2009 ~
Hi everyone, it's
hard to believe that there are only 42 calendar days until the last day
of school!
We still have a calendar
full of upcoming events in May and June, so please be sure to check out
the following scheduled events and information.
Spring Fling 2010
was so much fun, and what a beautiful day! The weather blossomed last
minute for us and it was a fresh spring evening filled with so many
smiling faces and happy children. We met our budgeted income thanks
to all who participated and contributed. It was so awesome to see our
families and school staff having so much fun while supporting our
wonderful school.
A huge "Thank
You" goes out to all of our amazing PTA Chair-people, especially
Karen Myrick and Peggy Keller who chaired this year's Spring Fling
event. Thanks to the teachers and staff who volunteered their time
and smiles to help Spring Fling be such a great success.

GAME! Join other SHES families for a great night of baseball, food,
and fireworks!
Fill out the registration form that came home with your student and send
in your money for your tickets. It will be a fun
night for all!

TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON: Tuesday, May 4th
***************************************************************************************
The end of the year
appreciation luncheon is a great way to tell our teachers "Thank
You" for all that they do!
Room Moms - A letter should have been given to you from our Hospitality
Chairperson, Diana Soulliere, detailing what food/drink items your class
is responsible for. Please have those assigned dishes delivered to the
teacher's lounge by 10:00 a.m.
Also, remember to have your class make a card or some token of
appreciation to display in the teacher's lounge for the luncheon.
If you want to prepare a yummy dish or if you can help set up and clean
up on May 4th, please contact Diana Soulliere at 724-1122.

THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING....

THE BOOK FAIR IS
COMING.... Get stocked up for summer and READ, READ, READ.
May 10th - May 14th the book fair will be open in the media center
8:00 am to 12:00.
Wednesday the Book Fair will be open all day from 8:00-2:30. There
will be more information coming home with your student soon.

5TH GRADE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5th GRADE GRADUATION
PHOTOS: May 5th -
If you have a 5th grader, they will have their photos taken on May 5th.
This is a complimentary photo which will be given to them at the end of
the year. You will also have the opportunity to purchase more
photos. See the flier coming home for more info.
OTHER 5TH GRADE INFORMATION:
May 11th the 5th graders will be walking to Safety Harbor Middle
School for orientation. Permission slips will be given.
MAY 13th, from 7:30-8:30 a.m., there will be a morning meeting
for parents of future 6th graders of Safety Harbor Middle School.
The morning meeting will be held in the auditorium and hosted by Ms.
Lasonya Moore, a 6th grade administrator from Safety Harbor Middle
School. A brief talk followed by an open forum will allow parents
of Safety Harbor Middle School incoming 6th graders to get acquainted
with Ms. Moore.

HOPS: May 18th: 4th Grade and May 20th: 5th Grade.

Sock Hops will be held in the cafeteria right after school. There will be
snacks, drinks and dancing!

difference in our school, please let us know. We need YOU! If
