Welcome back to another great school year! Your
PTA is always proud to serve you and we have many
wonderful upcoming events. It is important to us that
you as parents and students are informed of the great
programs and activities that PTA offers. There is a
bulletin board across from the picnic tables that is
always updated, so take a look as you go by. Also, we
will display banners and send fliers home so you can
note these important dates and events on your calendars.
We all look forward to our annual events such as Fall
Fest, Walk-A-Thon, Sock Hops, Book Fairs, McDonalds
Night and Spring Fling, just to name a few. We sponsor
the Recreational Reading program and we annually
purchase an array of learning tools that your children
use every day such as computers and equipment and
classroom magazines and books. We hope to add even more
fun events to our PTA calendar this year so we can
continue making our school the best it can be for our
students. |
Please
take a moment to look over the PTA letter in the
first-day packet that comes home to your child and send
in the $5 for your child's planner. These are important
tools for the teacher and student alike. Please join PTA
for $5 each or 2/$8 by filling out the membership
information and sending in the money. Please specifiy
either Planners or Membership. We accept checks made to
S.H.E.S. PTA. These are just a couple of ways you can
contribute to PTA so we can continue to offer all the
wonderful activities that your children so look forward
to every year. Also, on the PTA letter are the volunteer
opportunities. PTA and all our events and committees are
made up of parent volunteers. We cannot do all we do
without YOU! If you can offer any time to the school,
please check the box at the bottom of the form and
someone will call you to find an area you can contribute
your time. It's not only helpful, it's FUN! |
Starting
in August we will kickoff our annual Entertainment Book
Sale Fundraiser. The kids love selling these
money-saving coupon books to family and friends and
earning fun prizes.
And now the kids can sell the Entertainment Books to
out-of-state family and friends online. It's easy and a
great way to offer these valuable coupons while earning
money for your school.
The books are $20 a piece and $10 of that goes back to
Safety Harbor Elementary School.
Also, starting August 26th is our Book Fair which runs
till September 2nd. This is a great chance to get the
kids back into reading, reading, reading. This is also a
way for PTA to purchase books for classrooms. So stop in
the Media Center during that week and stock up on
great-priced books. |
